FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Where do you shoot? My photography business is based out of Rancho Palos Verdes, but I book weddings and engagements in all surrounding areas: Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Torrance and more.
Do you require a deposit? For portrait and engagement packages I require a non-refundable $50 deposit (payable by PayPal or check). For weddings and other large events I require a non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the total package price.
How far in advance should I book? I am typically booked two or three months in advance, however it never hurts to send me an email to see if I have your date available. Email liliya@liliyaphotography.com and let me know when you’d like your shoot!
What should I wear? I typically tell my clients to dress up a little more than normal, but still be comfortable and be themselves. Avoid overly busy patterns as they can distract from your face. Solid colors are nice, but avoid overly bright colors like neons or pure whites. I also discourage families from all wearing the same exact outfit. Layers are your friend (jackets, jewelry, hats, etc.), because you can easily take them off or put them on to quickly change your look. For women, you should wear a little more makeup than you normally do, because it helps your features stand out in the images, and I typically like hair down for girls because it makes for more movement in the shots. A good idea is to go to Pinterest and look at portraits that you like and take note of what they are wearing. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me.
How do I get my images? I will send your images to you via email in a private online album, from which you can download your high resolution images directly to your computer. I take great pride to never make my clients wait more than 2 weeks to receive their finished product!
Do I own the rights to my images? Yes. Unlike other photographers, you will be the legal owner of your images. They are yours to do whatever you like with. I don’t even limit where you can make your prints (however, I do offer printing services too)! I do reserve the right to use any of your images in my promotional material (like posting to my Facebook page or website, or for use in a promotional pamphlet or flyer), however if there is a legal concern or safety issue, other arrangements can be made.
